Peaches Geldof a life cut too short.

Peaches Geldof’s life can simply be described as one “surrounded by work and tragedy”. Her death today has hit the entire UK , world of media and fashion like a tsunami storm. An utter shock.  She began so early and unfortunately has gone so quickly . The pain she left behind summed up in her  devastated father’s statement;

“We are beyond pain. She was the wildest, funniest, cleverest, wittiest and the most bonkers of all of us. We loved her and will cherish her forever.”

Born in 1989 to musician Bob Geldof and Paula Yates, Peaches began her life rather so quickly when she moved out from the family home . At the age of 11, tragedy struck with the death of her mother for which she recalls how painful it had been living with that reality .

“I remember the day my mother died, and it’s still hard to talk about it. I just blocked it out. I went to school the next day because my father’s mentality was ‘keep calm and carry on’. So we all went to school and tried to act as if nothing had happened. But it had happened. I didn’t grieve. I didn’t cry at her funeral. I couldn’t express anything because I was just numb to it all. I didn’t start grieving for my mother properly until I was maybe 16.^“

At 15, began her career as a journalist writing for various magazines and newspapers including being a columnist for the UK edition of Elle Girl and Daily Telegraph.  At the age of 17, On 5 August 2008, Geldof married Max Drummey, an American musician in Las Vegas.  On 7 February 2009 the couple announced  their decision to end their marriage.  2005 to 2007 saw her rise to fame becoming a regular face on the TV  when she wrote and presented her own documentary . She went on to appear on several other TV programs and reality shows.

She was in 2007 voted 53rd sexiest woman in the world by FHM , made her debut catwalk  modelling for PPQ at London Fashion Week , subsequently became the face of an Australian fashion line – Dotti.

On 8 September 2012 Peaches got remarried  to Thomas Cohen, lead singer of the South East London band S.C.U.M. to whom she had two sons with.  Unfortunately today the news broke to say Peaches was gone aged 25  , living friends and family devastated.  May her soul rest in peace.
