imageMOBO, Europe’s biggest urban music brand, is returning to London for its 19th annual awards show! After a 5 year absence with repeat visits to Glasgow and Liverpool, the 2014 MOBO Awards will be returning to its birthplace on the 22nd October to champion the UK’s best and brightest urban music talent at the SSE Arena, Wembley. The MOBO movement champions and recognises the best urban talent the UK has to offer in another spectacular awards ceremony which will carry all the glitz and glamour the music industry can muster on what is set to be a truly memorable evening. “

MOBO is positively responding to popular demand to bring back the awards to their place of birth where the initiative and many of its successes were started in order to please their many fans, some of whom have been there since day one. The MOBOs have been a catalyst for numerous UK artists, including Craig David, N-Dubz, Amy Winehouse, Emeli Sandé and Rita Ora – who have all gone on to achieve great success after having been given a first platform by MOBO or having won the Best Newcomer Award.

The MOBO brand, now in its 19th year, has gone from strength to strength gaining worldwide recognition and establishing itself as an important part of the music industry calendar having featured the likes of Tina Turner, Sade, Jay-Z, Rihanna, 50 Cent and Iggy Azalea to name a few.

Kanya King MBE, founder and driving force behind the MOBO movement, commented: “We are thrilled to have the awards returning home this year, even more so after our newly signed 3-year agreement with ITV a few weeks ago. I am excited about the strength of this year’s nominees who will be announced later this month after which the public will be invited to vote for their favourite acts. The show on 22nd October promises to be absolutely spectacular and will hopefully inspire a lot of young talent’.

Arena tickets are priced at £25, £35 and £49 (excl. booking fees) now on sale via www.mobo.com/tickets
