With Coachella on the horizon we have been giving some serious thought to our festival attire. What do you wear when you are no longer 18? You want to look stylish but also be prepared for whatever the weather throws at you, and let’s be honest, it’s bound to rain! We have put some ideas together so that you can master festival chic without having to wear denim hot pants and crazy hair accessories.

Logo T-shirt

The logo t-shirt has been everywhere this year and the trend doesn’t seem to be showing signs of going anywhere. They don’t just have to be paired with jeans, you can also wear them under dresses or with skirts.

Wellies

What would a festival be without wellies? Of course the go to brand is Hunter if you are after a durable boot that fits in with fashion lovers.

Chunky Knit

There is no telling what the weather will be like so a chunky knit is your best friend. It is perfect for layering and throwing over anything from dresses to skirts. Just make sure that it has an oversized style.

Embroidered Dress

Embroidered dresses are perfect for festival wear. Aside from looking pretty and being easy to throw on, they also still manage to look great with a pair of wellies.

Asymmetric Skirt

An asymmetric skirt with a silky feel will add a touch of luxury to your festival wardrobe. Make sure it falls around you knee for a more flattering look than a mini skirt would provide. Should this skirt get caught in a downpour it will dry out much faster than a denim option.

Oversized Shirt

The perfect layering piece should a coat be too much. A military style shirt is perfect for throwing on when the evening starts to get a bit chilly. It is also much easier to roll up and fit in your bag than a coat would be.

Backpack

Festivals tend to be full of bumbags which are practical but they just remind us too much of our youth. A backpack is a smarter option as it allows you more space for belongings while still letting you remain hands free.

Sunglasses

No festival wardrobe is complete without sunglasses Wayfarers are always a favourite but aviators look just as good.
