The winners have emerged from the just concluded African Muzik Magazine Awards which were held last night.

The ceremony, held at the Academy of Black Letters in Dallas in the US, aims to recognise and award African music and artistry. This year’s awards were the second edition of the now annual event.

West African artists like Davido won the [Best Male], Yemi Alade for [Best Female] followed by [Best Video] Wizkid for ‘Ojuelegba’. South African rapper AKA walked away with two awards.

The event was hosted by top Nigerian comedian, Basketmouth and Uganda’s Anne Kansiime, while Emma Nyra was the red carpet host.
