Rio de Janeiro, might be 6000 miles away, yet you can still feel the Olympic fervor from here with outdoor Rio Olympics screenings. C. Hub Magazine has gathered the best places to watch the Olympic Games in London city from 5 – 21 August. Get in on all the Rio Olympics 2016 action and atmosphere via the capital’s copious coverage outdoor screens.

1/ Pop Fields Brixton
popfieldsPop Fields is bringing the summer of sport to Brixton. With the biggest screen in South London, it’s one of the best place in town to watch all the sporting action.

2/ Exchange Square, Broadgate Tube: Liverpool St
exchange5Experience a sporting summer at Broadgate, with all the action aired in Exchange Square until September. Broadgate’s giant open-air screen has popped up for the summer. The big screen will be on every day of the Olympics, with the action kicking off on Saturday 6 August when the Opening Ceremony will be screened from 9am-1pm. For a full schedule of events see here

3/London Bridge City Summer Festival London Bridge
image (1)The Official Team GB FanZone at London Bridge City will be a fantastic place to experience all of the action and atmosphere of the Rio 2016 Olympic Games whilst supporting the Team GB athletes in their quest for Olympic glory. The London Bridge City FanZone will show live coverage of the Games at selected times offering the chance to share memorable and historic sporting moments as well as the opportunity to participate in some Olympic sports.

4/ Rio in Dalston Dalston Junction Overground
Carnival_2-624x317 The mobile Big Screen will be screening live BBC coverage daily from 1pm, moving around some of Dalston’s favourite outdoor spaces, accompanied by Brazilian food, drink and live events and a Muhammed Ali tribute night.

5/ Merchant Square Paddington
MS_OLYMPICS_790PX-wFrom wrestling to long jump and everything in-between, head to the lawn area to watch the Rio 2016 Olympics on the big screen. Catch your favourite sports at lunchtime or stay after work to enjoy a drink and watch all the action. It’ll be like you’re in Rio, but with the canal, not the crashing waves of Copacabana beach.

6/ Regent’s Place, North London tube: Warren Street
Regents-Place-Big-Screen-Running throughout the summer, Regent’s Place has an action packed series of free, interactive events plus a giant open-air screen pop-up showing the Olympics until the end of August. Free events throughout the summer will offer something to suit all tastes.On 20 August, the Rio Family Fun Day hosts Brazilian dance classes, the chance for kids to make a carnival-themed headress, a bouncy castle, space hopper races and penalty shoot, as well as Brazilian street food. The Olympics highlights will be shown on the big screen throughout the day (1pm-5pm)

7/ Summer screen at Canary Wharf

8/ Beach East Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park Stratford
beach 3Life’s a beach once again at the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park, with over 2,200 square metres of sand deposited at the site for endless sandcastle competitions and balmy evening walks. This year’s tropical offering will have a Rio theme in celebration of the Olympics and there will be big screens to watch it on from Aug 6-21.

9/ Boxpark Shoreditch
image (2)Grab a deckchair in front of this open air screen by Shoreditch High Street station and watch Olympic events unfold on the world stage. Events will also be showing on screens by the deck, and wherever you sit, Boxpark’s food and drinks shops are on hand to fuel your pitstops.
