London, 11/08/2016. Artist Vivian Timothy to receive creative Icon recognition at CA award 2016 for her contributions in promoting African heritage through painting and story telling.
Vivian Timothy is a Nigerian German based self taught artist. In the last few years, her paintings have become a talked about piece in Germany and Europe. Although her love for painting began in her early years, however, she did not pay attention to it until a few years ago when her talent was revived and since then she has not stopped.
Vivian’s paintings are deeply embedded in African roots, and speak with a heavy African accent. She takes inspiration from nature, women, culture and heritage, challenging social injustices and stereotypes.
Her paintings have been showcased at International Kultur Festival in Germany,the US and recently at the UK’s house of parliament.
The highly motivated and talented artist is one of the six outstanding individuals who will be receiving this special recognition at CA award 2016 on 19th November.
“I am highly elated to have been considered eligible to receive this CREATIVE ICON recognition award. This recognition will serve as a stronger motivation for me to strive more into projecting the African values and concept through my creative artworks.” She said.

CA award also known as Creative African award is C. Hub magazine’s initiative to celebrate and recognise excellence in the creativity of African and Caribbean descents globally. The highly prestigious award further cements C. Hub magazine’s values which is to promote quality and positive representation of African heritage through creativity and talent.
The 2016 event will be held at a lavish dinner on the 19th of November, at Hilton Hotel Tower Bridge London.
