Even though the warmer seasons feel like they will never come, slogan tees seem to be popping up all over the place. Take the Gucci t-shirt which has been selling like hotcakes, after all they were all over the spring/ summer catwalks. We can’t remember the last time we wore a t-shirt with a slogan on it but it must be back when we were teenagers. Read on if you fancy trying the trend without looking like you are trying to re live your youth.

Avoid

You should probably avoid this trend if you never wear t-shirts. Trends should easily slip into your wardrobe; you shouldn’t have to keep buying whole outfits to be able to incorporate them. If casual looks aren’t for you then steer clear.

Consider the phrase

Slogan t-shirts are so versatile with the phrases printed on them. Fun phrases are great when you don’t want to take life too seriously while others give you the opportunity to show everyone the things that you love like your favourite band. Many also have political phrases to help you get that all important message across.

Style tips

The weather is just not warm enough to get away with wandering around in a cotton t-shirt. With this in mind consider layering up with a polo neck underneath it. Padded jackets are still very popular right now and they are ideal for throwing on when you’re in a rush.

Slogan tees paired with jeans and boots for a laidback look can be elevated with the right accessories. A straw fedora is a great addition and it helps to elevate your outfit preventing it from looking sloppy.

Prefer a slightly more dressed up look? Tuck your tee into a leather skirt and go for a pair of peep toe ankle boots; ideal for giving a more edgy vibe.
