At one point or another we all strive to achieve better skin. Skin that looks hydrated and glowing from within. We have put together five top tips that will give you inspiration to switch up your skin care routine for a healthy looking complexion.

Five Steps To Better Skin

Wear Sunscreen

Regardless of the time of year we should all be wearing sunscreen. Your skin is still exposed to the sun even on a cloudy day. Apply sunscreen everyday, at least SPF 30. The sun affects our skins collagen and elastin and a lot of skin problems can be linked to sun damage.

Exfoliate

Exfoliate at least twice a week to get rid or dry and dull skin. This will help your skin to absorb the products you are using and help them work more effectively.

Drink More

We all know that we should be drinking at least two litres of water a day, but how many of us actually do? There are various apps that can be used to remind you to drink and they will even track the amount you are drinking. You can even get your hands on water bottles with hourly markers to make sure you stay hydrated throughout the day.

Don’t Forget Your Neck

Moisturising the neck is often forgotten but it will show signs of aging more than your face. When you are carrying out your skincare routine remember to bring some of the products down onto your neck. Massage the products into your skin in an upward motion towards your chin as this has a lifting effect.

Thoroughly Remove Makeup

One of the ultimate rules of makeup is to never go to bed wearing it. Even if you haven’t worn any your skin will still collect dirt and debris during the day so cleansing is very important. You can remove your makeup using a wipe but make sure that you follow this with a cleanser suited to your skin type. You can even ‘double cleanse’ and use your cleanser twice.
