Police arrest man shooting from an apartment block in Dockside Chatham.

A man in his 30s has been arrested in Chatham on suspicion of firearms offences.

The shooter known as ‘flexingmike’ on Instagram, recorded himself shooting and screamed, “call me the police”.



Kent Police say they have found four imitation guns, after an incident in Chatham. Armed police were dispatched when they got reports of a man with guns shouting on a balcony in a block of flats.

Kent Police say numerous road closures have been put in place near the Dockside at Chatham, and have urged people to stay away from the area.

Armed police were called out to a man seen firing shots from pistols on a penthouse balcony at Chatham Dockside around 8:30am this morning.

The man, who had ‘filmed himself discharging the guns’, appeared to be drunk or drugged, he was also seen waving a rifle about.

A twitter user wrote, This is #FlexingMike who decided to scare residents and #Police in #Chatham Dockside today. So many questions. How could he afford a £600k apartment, have guns and not be known?



Police are appealing for witnesses or anyone with video of the firearms incident at Dock Head Road this morning, who has not yet contacted them, to call the appeal line on 01634 792209, Ref: 22-0182. A man in his 30s with suspected imitation firearms was arrested.
