Eyewitness account:

People, Cars, houses, busineses, roads are washed off as floods ravage Trademore estate in Lugbe, Abuja, Federal Capital territory.

Atleast 5 people have died as food ravages an estate in Abuja Nigeria’s capital territory.

According to an eyewitness, the flood took over trademore estate in Lugbe, Abuja.

The flooding according to the eyewitness started Monday after a heavy downpour late on Sunday, 12th September, washing off cars, buildings and destroying both businesses and properties.

According to the eyewitness who is also a resident of the area, “this is the worst disaster we have seen in this Abuja.”

Local media are reporting that 3 have been confirmed dead whilst search for more bodies is underway.

An unconfirmed source tells us a top Nigeria’s DSS officer is among the confirmed dead victims.

Residents are left to pickup the wreckage from the disaster as well as what is left of their homes.
