NBA Africa and MAVEN Developments Announce Multiyear Collaboration in Egypt
  • The NBA and MAVEN Developments will launch their multiyear partnership with an interactive event in North Coast from August 18-19. The event will feature basketball games, games and activities for kids, and appearances by NBA legends.
  • The partnership will also see the launch of the Jr. NBA West Cairo League and an elite player development camp in Egypt later this year. The Jr. NBA West Cairo League will provide a platform for young basketball players in Egypt to develop their skills and compete against each other. The elite player development camp will provide top players in Egypt with the opportunity to train with NBA coaches and learn from NBA players.
  • This partnership is a significant development for basketball in Egypt and Africa. It will help to grow the game of basketball in the region and provide opportunities for young people to develop their skills and leadership qualities.

The NBA and MAVEN Developments will launch a series of basketball and lifestyle events in Egypt later this month. The events will kick off with “NBA Weekend,” an interactive event that will be held in North Coast’s Cali Coast Ras El Hekma on August 18-19. The event will feature an NBA 3X (three-on-three) basketball tournament, live music performances, and a Jr. NBA clinic for 100 local youth.

Later this year, MAVEN Developments and NBA Africa will launch a Jr. NBA West Cairo League for youth ages 12-16 and host an elite player development camp in Egypt for youth ages 16 and under.

The collaboration is part of the NBA’s continued commitment to developing the game of basketball at the grassroots level in Egypt. MAVEN Developments is a real estate developer that shares the NBA’s commitment to inspiring the next generation of young people to be better leaders and teammates on the court and in their communities.

The events will be a great opportunity for young people in Egypt to learn about the game of basketball, have fun, and make new friends. They will also help to grow the game of basketball in Egypt and inspire the next generation of Egyptian basketball players.

Key points of the events are:

  • NBA Weekend will be held on August 18-19 in North Coast’s Cali Coast Ras El Hekma.
  • The event will feature an NBA 3X (three-on-three) basketball tournament, live music performances, and a Jr. NBA clinic for 100 local youth.
