Christmas is just around the corner and party season is in full swing. While we all give a lot of thought to what we will be wearing, we don’t tend to give our skin as much consideration. We have some top tips to help you prepare your skin for the festive period. It’s guaranteed to be the perfect accessory to your killer outfit!

Preparing Your Skin For Party Season

Get the glow

I think we can all get a little carried away with the highlighter as we strive for a glowing complexion. However, the best way to achieve that is by looking after our own skin. One of the best ingredients for giving you a radiant looking complexion is Vitamin C. By adding a Vitamin C serum into your daily skincare regime you will achieve skin that looks bright and energised with a naturally luminous quality.

Clear skin

Hands up who has ever had a social occasion planned only to wake up that morning with the biggest spot. A little diluted tea tree oil can often help clear it up but to get you through the office party you will need a good concealer. Choose one that has a green tone and apply it before your normal concealer. This will help to tone down any redness first.

Brighten your eyes

The run up to Christmas is always incredibly busy and tired eyes can make you look even more exhausted than you feel. You can buy eye creams which contain caffeine. These help to reduce any puffiness and dark circles. Then apply your colour correcting concealer to hide any remaining darkness and give you a complexion that looks much more awake.

Exfoliate

This links back to creating a glowing complexion. A good exfoliator helps to get rid of dead skin cells, leaving your softer and brighter. Why not treat yourself to a microdermabrasion facial which rejuvenates skin and reduces the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles.
