Artist Hartwig in his new collection has used silk scarves to print his iconic hand – drawn art work of the London landscape entitled ‘London looking North and London looking East.
Featuring the vantage point roughly above Buckingham Palace Garden looking east, in the foreground the area between Green Park and Buckingham Palace to Westminster Abbey and the Houses of Parliament. Both the river and the Mall guide the eye into the centre of the image towards Trafalgar Square and the London Eye.
Other famous landmarks featured: St James’s Palace, St James’s Park, Parliament Square, Whitehall with government buildings, Horse Guards, Trafalgar Square and St Martin in the Fields, Covent Garden, Leicester Square, Piccadilly Circus, Regent Street, BT Tower, Centre Point, Somerset House, Royal Court of Justice, Temple Area. In the background the skyline of the City of London with the Barbican Centre, Old Bailey, St Paul’s, Gherkin, Tower and Tower Bridge.
The Southbank is represented by the London Eye – prominently in the centre of the image – London County Hall, Waterloo Station, St Thomas Hospital, Imax, National Theatre, Oxo Tower, Tate Modern, Southwark Cathedral, London City Hall and the Imperial War Museum.
The range is unbelievably wearable and is set to join a growing collection of spectacular items sold by Arty Globe – Hartwig’s gallery outlet for his exclusive designs.
