Now the weather is really starting to feel wintery it is time to take a look at our makeup and consider giving this seasons beauty trends a try. There is something for everyone whether you prefer a groomed look or more of a low key style.

This is part one of a two part series where we give you some of our favourite tips and trends from the catwalk.

Imperfect Lips

Forget painstakingly applying you lip liner and lipstick and then spending the whole day trying not to smudge it. The catwalks featured that very style of slightly smeared pouts. Stay with us on this one as there is a difference between messy makeup and an intentional look. Imperfect lips featured a subtle colour which is diffused towards the edges. Make sure you don’t go over your natural lip line as it really will look untidy.

Tousled Hair

You can pretty much guarantee you will spot tousled hair somewhere on the catwalks and that’s absolutely fine with us. We love the relaxed, laid back vibe that is easily created with a texturising spray. Perfect for those days when you’re in a rush.

Bold Liner

Intense, black liner has various incarnations this season. You have several options this season such as wearing it smudged with a vibrant flash of colour or dramatically overlined from the inner corners right out to your temples. Our personal favourite has to be Sixties style that was spotted on the catwalks at Chloe.

Statement Mani

The perfect way to complete your look is always with a chic manicure. Statement mani’s are a key trend this autumn and pretty much anything goes. Feel free to really express yourself whether that’s with a floral design, checkerboard, crystal studs or even designer logos!button

Minimal Beauty

The focus here is on natural looking, glowing skin which we have seen many times before. However, this look has evolved slightly into something more sophisticated. It’s all about those little finishing touches that give a flawless, impeccably groomed appearance.
