We haven’t worn pearls in years but they have been everywhere this past few months. They have made a serious comeback and are no longer associated with ladies who lunch. They first reappeared on the catwalks at Miu Miu and Marc Jacobs and they have now filtered down to the high street on jumpers, jeans and even shoes. Pearl clothing isn’t just for girly girls, they have even taken over trainers and denim jackets!

Today we are talking through some pearl embellished clothing and giving your ideas on how to style it.

Jeans

Hands up who lives in jeans throughout the autumn season. The denim and pearl combination may seem a little odd but they balance each other out well. Whether you are going for jeans with a small about of pocket detailing or a pair with pearls all over them, you want to keep the rest of your look simple and chic. Go for a blouse with chunky ankle boots.

Shoes

The most popular way of wearing pearls in shoes is with them incorporated in the heels as seen at Gucci. Pearl embellished shoes give your outfit a sophisticated edge and they look equally as good worn with trousers as they do with a maxi skirt.

Blouses, Shirts and Jackets

The trend can be found on blouses, shirts and jackets. Boost the look of a leather jacket and give it a touch of glam with a pearl detailing or for a romantic look try a embellished blouse.

Skirts and Dresses

A skirt with a cascade of pearls looks stylish worn with fitted top and strappy sandals. If you’re looking for a Christmas party outfit, how about a little black dress covered in pearls. The high street has some great trend inspired pieces at very affordable prices. You don’t have to spend a lot to look like a million dollars.
