A sudden unknown illness has reportedly hit India State of Andhra Pradesh,  infecting at least 300 and one confirmed dead.

Symptoms include nausea, seizures, anxiety, fainting and unconsciousness.

Officials say waterborne disease and covid are ruled out. Viruses causing dengue, chikungunya or herpes have also been ruled out as the cause or contributor.

Pesticide or other poisoning are suspected but results are inconclusive to determine this, the local media reports.
