UK’s Trade Secretary and Conservatives MP for South West Norfolk, Liz Truss, has today signed a massive deal with Singapore as UK prepares to leave the EU without a deal.

The deal is said to worth over £17 billion of trade. The second biggest trade deal secure in the Asian Pacific.

Taking to Twitter, the Trade Secretary could not hide her excitement at the successful trade agreement secured.

She wrote; “Today I signed a deal with Singapore covering £17.6bn of trade – the 2nd biggest agreement we’ve signed in #AsiaPacific 🇬🇧🇸🇬

✅Means deeper future ties in digital & services trade
✅ Is further proof we can succeed as an independent trading nation.”
