Divas of colour launches Reach out campaign with Depression Alliance UK to raise awareness .

Every year millions of people lose their lives or live in terror from the burden of Depression yet, this illness is rarely talked about. Often times people are scared and feel ashamed to speak out and find help.

As it is the tradition on Divas of colour to raise awareness on issues affecting women particularly women of colour, this year our issue is Depression and Mental health and as such, we’ve chosen Depression Alliance UK to work with in raising awareness on this issue as also raise fund to help with their work on this. The Minister of Education, Ibrahim Shekarau announced to the members of the media his move to postpone schools resumption dates which has been made possible after several meetings with all the commissioners in the 36 states. He adds both private and public schools must comply with the resumption date.
