Is Oby Ezekwesili the possible cure to Nigeria's chronic corruption

Nigeria is a hugely endowed nation torn apart by deeply rooted and chronic history of corruption and public fund embezzlement. In over 30 decades, corruption in the public sector has gradually become a social norm eating deep into the society. Nigeria as a nation for so long has not been luck to find a leader who would be strong enough to flush out the strong hold of corruption without tearing the country apart. When President Goodluck Jonathan came into power in 2010, there was huge excitement and hope in the air that Nigeria has finally found the right man. Unfortunately, series of events during his tenure has dwindled such hopes and excitement . Especially his highly criticised slow response to the abduction of over 234 girls from their school in Chibok town. This singular incident has exposed a government that is said to be insensitive to the plight of ordinary people. And now Nigerians are looking around for that singular figure who will bring it all together again . As the people search for that singular person to trust the nation onto, fingers are beginning to point at this woman - Oby Ezekwesili . 'A woman who simply defines herself as - A fiercely passionate believer in public good of nations, serving before leading. Validated by God and my dad who taught me to never dignify nonsense.' - Twitter profile
