Tokyo 2020 postponed.

Tokyo Olympics 2020 has been Postponed until Summer 2021.

The International Olympic Committee (IOC), the local organizers and the Japanese government have all done the right thing in joining hands in postponing this year’s edition of the Games as the social distancing measures imposed to limit the spread of the Coronavirus has prevented lots of athletes to train and as a matter of fact, a few numbers of teams have also been pulling out of the Olympic games because of the COVID-19.

Despite losing their second group game at the ongoing FIBA Olympics Games Qualifying Tournament to Host-Serbia 64 – 70pts, the Nigerian female basketball team first game win over Mozambique was enough to take them to Tokyo in few months’ time, as they are now guaranteed a top-three finish in their group. Mozambique heavy defeat of 49 – 124pts against the USA (current world champions) secures the spot for D’Tigress.
